Anta Plumbing Resources for COVID-19

Canada’s prompt and strict COVID lockdown measures minimized the spread of the disease. Without these restrictions, 80% of the country could have otherwise contracted the virus.

As lockdowns all over the country ease, though, experts say there’s a risk of a second wave. The Prime Minister himself said the second wave has already hit several provinces. Ontario is one of them.

However, just as with the first wave, Canada could also bring the second wave under control. That’s if everyone would follow public health guidelines.

To that end, we’ve curated this list of plumbing resources for COVID-19. In this guide, we’ll share with you the protocols that Anta Plumbing has put in place for safe service calls.

24/7 Availability

Even when the rest of the Great White North went into lockdown, most of the country’s plumbers didn’t. Plumbing professionals, after all, are part of the nation’s essential workers. They’re crucial to maintaining the safety and sanitation of homes and buildings.

With that said, our team of licensed and insured plumbers here at Anta Plumbing continues to operate 24/7. If you have essential or emergency plumbing needs, rest assured that we can help.

Here are a few examples of situations wherein you can rely on our immediate help.

Anta Plumbing Resources for COVID-19

Drain or Sewage Backups

Many plumbing emergencies take the form of a drain or sewage backup. This is an emergency, as untreated wastewater can harbor many pathogens. These include bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and worms.

The last thing you want is to stay at home only to face such indoor hazards. As such, if you experience plumbing backups, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us as soon as possible. Our emergency plumbers will come to your rescue right away.

Burst or Frozen Pipes

Another emergency situation that you need prompt services for is a burst, frozen pipe. This can wreak severe water damage to your home, costing thousands of dollars to repair. Burst pipes can also lead to indoor flooding, so it’s vital to have a plumbing expert fix it right away.

Water Leaks

Repairs for considerable water supply line leaks are also essential plumbing services. For starters, these plumbing woes cause a significant waste of water. At the same time, leaks often indicate that the pipes themselves have become worn.

Water leaks can also cause indoor humidity levels to go up, promoting mold growth. Exposure to molds, in turn, can trigger asthma or allergies. As such, if you have leaky taps or pipes, it’s a must to have those fixed right away.

Blocked Sinks, Drains, and Toilets

With most of Canada’s residents having to stay home, plumbing problems have also risen. After all, the mandate has resulted in an increase in residential plumbing use. Because of this, many homeowners now deal with clogged sinks, drains, and toilets.

A primary reason for these blockages is the use of so-called “flushable” items. These include wet wipes, sanitary napkins, and paper towels. Although labeled “flushable,” they are actually not.

With that said, it’s best that you only flush the three Ps: pee, poop, and (tissue) paper. Throw the rest in your garbage bin to help keep your plumbing pipes healthy and clog-free.

However, if you already have clogged sinks, drains, or toilets, Anta Plumbing can help. We’ll clean and clear all plumbing components in your home that’s giving you a hard time.

Broken or Clogged Toilets

Does your toilet leak at the base or at the P-trap (the pipe that resembles the letter P)? Perhaps the toilet tank always overflows, or the water itself in the toilet takes a very long time to recede. Regardless of your toilet problems, it’s best that you hire a professional plumber.

Here at Anta Plumbing, we specialize in toilet installation and toilet replacement services. We can have your broken or damaged toilets replaced or repaired right away. We also deliver efficient toilet drain cleaning services.

Don’t let your toilet waste more water or overflow, as both can result in health problems. Please get in touch with our team now so we can get these issues resolved as soon as possible.

Whatever essential or emergency services you need, Anta Plumbing is ready to help.

Anta Plumbing’s Enhanced Safety Protocols

Even before the pandemic, safety has been on top of the list of Anta Plumbing’s priorities. However, we continue to update our protocols to ensure the safety of all our team members and clients.

Here are some of the things you can expect from our licensed and professional plumbers.

Regular Screening for Symptoms

As part of Anta Plumbing’s commitment to safety, we regularly screen of all our team members. We always monitor our plumbers for any symptoms of diseases, especially of COVID-19. We do this in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ontario Ministry of Health.

We also advise our staff to stay at home if they experience any signs of illness. That’s why you can rest assured that only a healthy plumber will enter your home.

A Call to Discuss Your Plumbing Requirements

Once you request a service call, one of our courteous representatives will get in touch with you. Please feel free to provide us with as much information as you can about your plumbing needs. Also, kindly inform us if anyone in your household has been sick or is displaying symptoms.

We’ll also share with you, over the phone, the enhanced protocols we’ll take during the service call. For example, we’ll let you know that we’ll only use contact-free methods of polite greeting. To reduce health and safety risks, our team members won’t ask to shake hands.

We’ll also enforce proper social distancing of at least two meters apart. If feasible, we may ask you to stay in a separate room as we perform the plumbing work.

Social Distancing in the Workplace and Company Vehicles

Please rest assured that Anta Plumbing also enforces social distancing at the office. We do the same in all our company vehicles. If you need a team of plumbers, our staff will sit apart and maintain a proper distance in the company vehicle.

Speaking of which, we also make sure that all our vehicles get disinfected before and after every use. This way, you can have peace of mind knowing how much we prioritize everyone’s safety.

Increased Disinfection Measures

Before entering your home, our plumbers will first disinfect themselves. They’ll also do the same on every piece of equipment and tool they’ll bring inside your home.

All of our workers come equipped with facial masks and guards. They also wear gloves and bring hand sanitizers, disinfecting wipes, and garbage bags. They will wash or disinfect their hands prior to entering your home.

Before conducting the work, our plumbers will first disinfect the area they will work in. After the job, they will once again sanitize and disinfect the work area. That’s on top of the complete cleanup of the job site.

Right after exiting your home, our plumbers will disinfect themselves once more. They’ll do this before entering the company vehicle. They also disinfect the vehicle, equipment, and themselves as soon as they get back to the office.

Workplace Safety Protocols

We also assure all our clients that we enforce strict safety protocols at the office itself. We have increased the frequency of our workplace’s environmental cleaning and disinfecting. This is even more true for all the high-touch surfaces, such as washrooms, phones, and computers.

Our hardworking team also makes it a point to wash hands as often as possible. We further disinfect our hands with alcohol and alcohol-based sanitizers. We also follow the guidelines for using disinfectants with more than 60% alcohol.

Moreover, we use disinfecting mats placed at the entry points of our office. We do so since we know that footwear can harbor so many types of disease-carrying organisms. On that note, we recommend that you also use these at home to boost your disinfection measures.
