Why Toilets Act Up
Nearly every toilet problem traces back to one of a few small parts. Knowing which one is what saves you money.
The flapper and fill valve run the tank. A worn flapper lets water seep past, so the toilet runs. A failing fill valve won’t shut off, fills slowly, or whines. Between them, they cause most “running” toilets, and they’re the cheapest fix on the list.
